Photoshoot Analysis:
Inspiration
The first stage of my poster was to create a background. For the background I decided to go with a bright blue colour because I feel like blue is a nice warm colour and helps the person viewing the poster to identify that the film is not meant to be a serious film and is a comedy. Not only this but I decided to use a different shade of blue from left to right of the background as I felt it made the poster look more professional as well as more appealing to the eye rather than just one shade of colour.
The next thing I decided to do was the Title for the poster, for the title I decided to use the Mickey font which I downloaded using the website Da Font. Once I typed it out I then decided to edit it so it had an arch. I decided to add an arch to the title as I felt like it added to the title making it more interesting for the audience to look at.
I then added a copyright free image of a speaker to add to the poster, I did this as the film is about a "musician" wanting to make it big in the music industry. once I added the speaker I got rid of the background and duplicated the image and placed them under the title of the poster. I added these speakers so the audience knows that the poster is about music.
For my next step I decided to add my main image. I decided to put my main image on the far left of the poster as it looked like the best place the image could go onto the poster. I first dragged the image into photoshop and then got rid of the background using the
I then decided to add a white outline behind the main image to help add to it and also emphasize the image.
I then decided to add the credits on the bottom right of the screen in small text.
After that I then decided to add some five stars on top of the credit block to help add to the appeal of the image. Moreover I also added a microphone next to the speakers to help show the film is about music
I then decided to add a star on top of the I in the tittle to further add to the imagery and also to make it more appealing to the audience.
I then decided to add the main people involved in the film as well as its release date to make the poster more professional. I also added a review into the poster to make it look more appealing to the audience. After this I added a tagline to add to the poster and make it more professional.
For my last step I decided to add some fireworks behind the main image. I decided to do this as I felt like it added to the poster and got rid of a large chunk of space which made the poster look empty.
